The Nógrád Folk Dance Group was formed in1975. It’s members are high school pupils, youngsters and adults. It’s headquarters are in Salgótarján in Palóc region. The excellent group has won several awards for choreopraphy, music at festivals.
The part of the group are consists of adult people. There are dancing this group more than 20 years. Most of them are dancing every coreography. Furthermore adults are active dancers, but some of them are teaching too. They have important position in every events and performances.
The Folk Dance Found of Salgótaján wants to show and teach dances to young people and children. Older dancers have many functions in the dance group. They are well experienced about different type of dances and it helps for the younger people how to learn better the steps. In addition to this, very important to learn how to get dressed well.
The group aims to keep up the traditions of dancing and putting their individual feelings in these dances. Also our proups aim is to develop, to find new partners and show our culture to another countries.
The art director of the Nógrád Fok Dance Group is Mr. János Szabó, fokdance teacher. The art assistant is Mr. Norbert Paluch, folkdance teacher, “the young master of folk art".
During the project the organisation is going to carry out required actions as partners:
participate in planning various project events and coordinating mobilities;
Ensure participation of staff and trainers in practical or methodological events organised by them or partners, involve interested learners in different mobilities and events;
Prepare necessary video, audio and scores for studies and give them in charge of partners as well as for publishing on the Internet, CD or other form.

The Grundtvig programme focuses on the teaching and study needs of learners taking adult education and ‘alternative’ education courses, as well as the organisations delivering these services. It aims to help develop the adult education sector, as well as enable more people to undertake learning experiences, notably in other European countries.
Launched in 2000, Grundtvig aims to provide adults with more ways to improve their knowledge and skills, facilitate their personal development and boost their employment prospects. It also helps to tackle problems associated with Europe’s ageing population.
It covers not only teachers, trainers, staff and organisations working in the sector, but also learners in adult education. These include relevant associations, counselling organisations, information services, policy-making bodies and others such as NGOs, enterprises, voluntary groups and research centres.
The programme funds a range of activities, including particularly those supporting adult learning staff to travel abroad for learning experiences, through exchanges and various other professional experiences. Other larger scale initiatives involve, for instance, networking and partnerships between organisations in different countries.
